Well my windshield is replaced and now only says SIGLA. The reference numbers are all exactly the same as before but no Pilkington logo now. I do now have an antenna in the glass though!! Acording to the Porsche dealer (via glass guys) this is the only windshield now available for a 89 or newer... Seems odd since most/all of those must have the roof antenna... seems like an inventory reduction plan to me (you get an antenna whether you need it or not) anyone else seen this issue....

BTW - when removing my old windshield it was obviously not the original - way too much gunky glue everywhere - the trim strip at the top of the screen was glued in all the way across and had to be removed piece by piece - looks ugly for now - new one on the way. at least the sping clips were still OK

Now i'm all set with an additional antenna for my cellphone or GPS system or.... humm what else do I need...

I could really do without the line down the middle of the screen - but its such an improvement over the really really ugly crack before that I'm forgiving it for now.

I don't have the invoice but the insurance paid out approx $900 for it. Another replacement put back to back to full OEM condition. I few more years & issues and I'll have a virtually new car!
