POC’s Lead and Follow and Tribute to LeMans at Cal Speedway
BACK AGAIN BY POPULAR DEMAND!
POC’s Lead and Follow
Saturday& Sunday April 9th &10th, 2005
California Speedway - Fontana California
$20 will get you 15 minutes on track in your street car!
The POC lead and follow will consist of 50 cars maximum per 15 minute session, following an experienced driver, single file, around the course with no passing. Additional experienced drivers will be inserted into the group at intervals to reinforce where you should be on the track. There will be a speed limit since there is no requirement for safety gear. Passengers, including minors, are welcome.
We’ll go at a pace that will be exciting but not dangerous to you or your car! All makes and models welcome!
Photos available from Head On Photos!
All you have to do to participate is make your reservation or just show up at the track by 11AM Saturday or Sunday. We’ll run two groups of up to 50 cars each for fifteen minutes. Maximum number of cars will be 100, so a reservation might not be a bad idea.
Look for the signs in the garage area.
For reservations email bill bodine: bb.bbm@adelphia.net
Hope to see you there.
Cheers,
Dylan.

The big race Saturday starts at about 4 pm goes 4 hours. Mark and Joseph will drive the 90 minute sprint portion making only one pit stop for fuel and two tires. They will have one of the cameras in the car and may go back out for more footage after their 90 minute race. All day long there will be cars on the track. The noon day drive around is actually a pretty neat way to get a chance to see what the inside of the big high banked super speedway looks like (at least 1/2 of it ) as well as the infield road course well worth the $20. You will not believe how steep the banking is. The rest of your life when you happen to see the California speedway on TV you can turn to your friends/family and tell them ..."I drove that track "
