move the seat forward to remove the hex head screws from the rear seat tracks, move the seat back to remove the hex head screws from the front seat tracks.

Tip the now-loose seat on its side to expose any wiring harness(es) so that you can unplug it/them.

Remove seat.

Brian forgot one step .... when you remove the seat, make sure you have buff forearms. And don't scrape anything.

If this is a electric seat you will have to push the seat button so the the rear of the seat raises up just like if you were a short person driving. The seat moves in different directions. If you have an S model or pre S then your seat moves forward and backward, it also moves the back rest front to back and it moves the bottom of the seat in the back up and down. You need to move the back of the bottom of the seat up all of the way to expose the hex bolt. But that is only on the electric seats for the cars listed. Other then that I dont know.

I'm a little confused...not that it's not typical...but how do you remove an electric seat in an '85 euro that is already stuck in a position and the manual crank thingy in front is broken?

TIA
