Update On PASHA & All Rare Upholstery!
Thanks for the responses to my last posting regarding NOS Pasha checkerboard upholstery for early 928s. In exchanging emails with Dave Nunn of Southbound Trimmers in the UK, he mentioned he just took delivery on 300 meters of black/white (7BN) pinstripe velour used in Porsches for 1977 to 1990. A custom order from the original manufacturers, Dave is able to obtain new stock of many patterns of Porsche factory upholstery if demand is high enough to make the large minimum order practical. He wanted me to pass on this information to all Rennlisters and urge those SERIOUSLY interested in a particular fabric no longer available to email him with pattern/color combo requests. With over 100 different types over the last 30 years, demand is the deciding factor as far as which material he will order from the mills. He is a great guy and really cares about the cars and their owners. He has worked hard to build contacts with the upholstery mills that originally supplied material to Porsche so please help him get an idea of what you need (and as a small business owner myself, I ask you to make requests only for materials you would plunk down the bucks for if it was made available) and maybe that Pasha black/white will be plentiful one day soon! Check out Dave's site at www.southboundtrimmers.com.
