Randy, you're killing me. I'm about to move (2 weeks) from North Carolina to San Diego with my slightly-ailing 944 S2 cab, and I need a practical second car while I do some wheel bearings, AC, etc. Does your cab qualify? Tell me, Randy, how do I rent a two-car garage in San Diego on a humble master's degree engineer salary?

<thinking of buying $300k house to house an $8k car> </>

The 1.5 hour commute might be worth it for *two* water-pumping cabriolets.
