just to be the devils advocate here, i run 65 lb injectors in the track car. with the stock engine management system, running 30 or 40 lb injectors creates a scenario where if you want to make big power you have to run very high fuel pressures and essentially max out the duty cycle of the injectors to deliver the necessary fuel. yes it will work, but may not be the best option.
since i run an aftermarket ignition control system, i have the luxury of being able to control things in a more ideal way than the factory system. i can run my fuel pressure below 30 psi and not max out the duty cycle of the injectors and still make big power with more in reserve. to me that seems to be a better way of doing it.
now in the 89 supercharged car, i run the 30 lb injectors and the fuel pressure gets up in the 100 psi range at full boost. seems to work ok, but those pressures concern me a bit.

I've got a leaky injector problem - causing me hot start difficulties. I imagine I could try to have them cleaned, but I think I'll just get them replaced.

Having them cleaned and balanced will cost about $230 from Marren Motorsports. I think ?Cruzin? does it slightly less-expensively. New injectors would be 2 to 3 times as expensive - and probably not be balanced - assuming you're buying Porsche injectors.

cruzin performance will do a great job for around $100 for 8. usually less than a week turnover. includes new o rings, pintle caps and balancing. i've had 3 sets done by them. great people.
