splitting calipers and can't turn the bolts
I've been advised not to split the calipers when repainting, but I decided if I could keep the halves together (with a clamp) and replace the bolts, one at at time, it shouldn't effect anything.
The first three came out, but the fourth wouldn't budge. The caliper was put in a vise and the bolt heated with a torch. Still no budge. Now it's stripped and I'm stuck. Has anyone BTDT?

Three Wheelin'
Well two choices, buy a new or used caliper and try again, or just leave that bolt alone and paint and replace the others as planned. I would go with the second choice,if it were me,you know that stripped bolt isnt going ANYWHERE!
