Interesting Signature in the headrest

Mine is wpo zzz 92zcs 840 162...same combo but auto..I feel bad i removed the old seats and sold them because they were not in the best of shape. I am in the process of making a 2-tone gery/burg effect. Has the fuel economy gague, but there is no vac. line going to the cluster. Not sure what they ment by the pocket under the dash, has the standard storage shelf..no other hidden storage, I have has the whole dash out and stripped. ..This one was imported to the us in 1986. I have to did through the origonal doc.s to find out the exact place.
I do have the origonal carpet set from mine in a box if someone is interested restoring theirs. just let me know. Most of it is intact.

Hi
About
&
These numbers looks correct, the theories are that either Porsche built a prototype wpo zzz 92zcs 840 050 and continued the number series up to ....190
or mine was the prototype with wpo zzz 92zcs 840 060 and continued the number series up to ....200.
Up to yesterday I thought mine was the only one left from this series that was still in original condition......
These models are hard to track because as you can see from the 2 catalogs I have - Porsche never gave this model a name. It is variously known as the Anniversary model or Jubilee model or Ferry Porsche signature model, maybe also other names!!
Also the Weissach came out the same year which also caused identity confusion.
The distinguishing physical features according to the catalogue are the signed seats, the striped seat and side cloths, all burgundy red leather interior, no side rubbing strips, sunroof, auto.
Having said that mine has no sun roof, no auto (stick shift) and does have rubbing strips.
If you can get the special interior trim bits that may be a good idea as Porsche do not make or supply these anymore.
I can scan the 928 catalogue page and email it if you want?

BTW, mine has the fuel economy gauge & it works - well the needle moves in sympathy with the gas pedal - I have no idea if it is accurate
About the pocket under the dash - this model should have two storage shelves, one under the glove box and the other under the instrument panel.

& finally for Roger, more or less!
The little rubber hoses on the 8 intake tubes look as bad as mine.......
There is a guy in England who remanufactures these in silicon rubber but the colour is a bit strong for me, look at

...I have the #162 vin of the so called "jubilee edition" ..but mine is an auto trans, no sunroof with side rub strips, but could have been added later. both dash shelves and economy gague.

You can see copies of the original catalogs in

I did not know they exported any to the USA.

Ditto what Heinrich said.
That French car is a major project - good luck to him.
My car is the 3 speed auto with rub strips.
Have not had time to look further at what it has or has not.
The vacuum gas fuel economy guage is also on my Weissach.
Works reasonably well.
What was the stock radio on this model? Was it the Bamberg QTS as per the Weissach.
Those silicone sleeves from Paul are way to bright for my taste.
5 cars out of 140 is not many. There must be more.

I have received all the high res scans of both the Jubilee Brochures and Pictures of Marton's fine car.
If I reduce the size to allow me to post them we will lose the quality.
If you know how we can post them please let me know what to do.
If it is not possible PM me with a email address and I will forward them to you.
Thanks Marton
