Heinrich - beleive it or not I need your VIN number too. There were two different engine wiring harnesses in 1987... and confirm which engine wiring harness you want, the front-of-engine (14 pin connector in RF fender to alternator, starter, A/C and sensors) or the injector wiring harness (exits RR head and does all injectors and Cold Start injector too.)

I am happy to answer all "can I get this wiring harness?" questions.

In order to answer whether they are available or whether we can make them for you, I will need the following information:

I need the year of your car, Manual or automatic, and US or Euro model.
In some cases (like 1985, 1986, and 1987) I also need the VIN number because the wiring harnesses were split in those years.

Those look great, Carl. As you know, I was making my own about the same time you started, so I know what goes into the job. So far, mine has worked great and solved several little gremlins - one of them being an unpredictable no-start!

I think anyone pulling an engine on an OB should consider replacing the harness (with one of yours, of course). It's relatively inexpensive, eliminates potential intermittant problems, and gets the electrical connections back where Mr. Porsche intended them to be.

BTW, I sent someone your way that was looking for an OB harness - hope it worked out.

Do you plan on making all these to stock or not? We do a lot of late model engine rebuilds and would like to be able to install new harness on them as well.

We make them to stock specs. We are also just starting to offer 951 harnesses to those turbo boys and many of them are tuners and tweekers. They always want to add a wire here or there for a MoTec or a gauge or SOMETHING.

Our solution for that - so we do not get a million orders for one-of harnesses, is to make the harness without shrinking the shrinkable wire loom. Then you can get it, pull your extra wires where you want them, and then shrink your loom with your own hairdryer.
