We have had a pretty good response so far for Sharks at the Lake.
If you haven't contacted me but want to come up for the event let me know now. For anyone near the Sierras who may want to make a day trip, you are welcome to come up and join us for the drives and fun even if you can't stay overnight or go to the dinner.
Per my agreement with the motel I can only hold the rooms for another 2 weeks. They will be released to anyone after that. Only 4 weeks left until we get together!! Our latest entrant is none other that the lovely and knowledgeable "Nicole". She is a great addition to our band of Rogues.

Tim, I just reserved a stay at the Tahoe Inn, so I'll be there for sure (2 people). Please p.m. me with the address to mail the check for the meals. Thanks!

After the event, we plan to head home to AZ after the BBQ lunch - our route planned is via Las Vegas (probably spend the night there).
Mapquest shows basically taking I80 West then 50 South then US 95 South for over 300 miles. How is US 95? It looks to be the route through the middle of nowhere. Any speed traps to be aware of?

Probably the fastest way to Las Vegas from the lunch is to take I80 east to Fernley, then Alt 95 to Hwy 95 South into Vegas. Along the Hwy 95 route you will have the snow capped mountains to the west (quite pretty) and desert & mountains to the east You can drive pretty fast and yes it is in the middle of nowhere. Slow down for the little towns like Tonapah, Hawthorn, Coaldale , Goldfield, etc as they all have radar and cops. Other than that it really is a nice trip into Vegas.
