Why rubber?

I can see the advantage to a rubber *front* spoiler, but...

I believe the rubber spoiler is a stock Porsche part. If it's not I suppose I'll be schooled forthwith.

Timidviking... well... it fits.

Lucky dog. Are you going to paint it body color or spray it black?

If you didnt know what it was I could see mistaking it for rubber.

The earlier - S4 and GT - spoilers had a rubbery feeling surface that had some structure to it. The GTS wings were totally smooth in their finish and either painted in body color or (as an option) matt black.

Are you going for the multi-tier spoiler look, or do you plan to remove the original "S" rear spoilers before mounting this one?

About 10 years ago we paid a company to reproduce the stock S4 wing in a similar material. Some of the prototypes were a soft rubber but they sagged in the middle. The later versions had a steel inner structure to stifen them. Maybe this is one of them.

It's not really rubber, right? I thought they were made out of the same thing and the little black bumper cubes - some kind of polypropylene.

I haven't gotten my hands on it yet, so i don't know for sure what it is. I am surmising it's the same stuff the existing spoiler is made out of... only 'wingier'. We'll see... it's always a roll of the dice on Ebay, but I haven't been burned badly yet.

I am not certain how I will install it... double spoiler or single... my strange and tiny mind will spend many hours mulling it over when I should be working and being productive instead... I will stare hard at Visio diagrams of complex network architectures, to avoid detection... while thinking of downforce and profiles...
