Default Is this the correct plug for a 3 wire oxygen sensor?

I am correct in assuming my 1986 has a 3 wire sensor, right? Anyway, I finally found the o2 sensor wire to the computer which was hidden by the PO, and it looks like this. If I didn't know better, I would think this corresponds to a 1 wire sensor. I can't find an accurate picture in the shop manuals. Which is it for? Now I will have to find someones old connector from an old o2 sensor to splice into. Thanks in advance, and sorry for all of the o2 sensor questions!

Your picture looks like the single wire cable I have on my 1980. I'm not sure what the 86 has.

Thanks, Marc. That's what I was afraid of. I figured the 1986 was supposed to have a 3 wire sensor?

Actually looking at PET, the three wire sensor seems to have the single wire and a second split-out wire for the other two. You may have another connector hiding around there somewhere. The 86 wiring diagram shows 3 wires. Look for a 2 pin connector with a black and brown wire. The black wire should terminate at W13 which connects it through the panel to pin 87 on the fuel pump relay. The brown wire heads to ground.

IIRC that Black/Brown pair only provides power to heat up the O2 sensor when you start up. This gives more efficient performance when cold. In the 80, the sensor heats up from the exhaust gases and takes a while to get into "hunt mode". I bet it would run fine without the other 2 wires. Perhaps a PO removed them.

Mine has three wires! One black to a single round plug, and two white to a dual plug connector.

Hey guys, THANKS! I found the other connector, and I'm good to go.
