What can I say what a HUGE difference. You guys did a great job designing it. Special thanks to Dave, Garitty, and Mark for having my back when the father in law and wife came a lookin. Still waiting for the SC kit, not gonna happen.
Thanks to all

I do not know the difference between them I would suspect that they all are pretty close to the same thing, but let me tell you it is amazing in the difference between the two I didnt think that it would be that drastic, but I was wrong. The throw is so much shorter it took some time getting used to it. Is it an improvement, hell yes and it is tighter than a ducks but in water. The next improvement will be S4 brake upgrade, that is when I will put the new sway bar bushings on. John go ahead and do it, it is amazing.

Thats what mine was for, my b-day. Goes in pretty strait forword the instructions are great and it take a little getting used to. My wife said that much for this, then she drove the car and said what a difference.

Andy,
I was considering the Devek shifter. Does it take some of the play out of shifting? More effort to shift? How much shorter than stock does the shift **** sit?

It does all you discribed above, I didnt think that just replacing the lever would be so dramatic. What an improvement. Go for it you wont be displeased at least I wasnt. And it looks great, much better than the original. So go for it Toofast. It does take a little getting used to, very firm shifts.

Do a search for short shifter, someone at one time put an animated picture in a thread showing the dramatic difference between the two. Was it Gretch or Big Dave? I can't remember.
Good luck.

I have the prototype Devek short-shifter in my '89 GT. The docs you get for the SS from Devek were taken in my garage
(Unless they've been subsequently re-written.)
If you want the complete short-shifting experience get the 'fat' shift boot from a MY '91 or newer and install it over the short-shifter.
EDIT: No, I'm not the designer of the SS. My car just happened to be handy.
