Default Need confirmation of info in WSM, please.

Page 25-23 of my WSM states:

REMOVING AND INSTALLING FUEL INJECTORS

1. Unscrew coupling nut of fuel injector line, counterholding on fuel injector.
2. Unscrew fuel injector with deep socket.

There are no additional steps on this page, and there is no page 25-24.

There's no mention of any torque requirement when re-installing, and that surprises me.

Can anyone confirm that this is really all that's necessary to remove CIS injectors? Can anything on this car really be so simple?

Kary...........check out page 25-01 'Tightening torque for Fuel System'

My WSM also jumps from 25-23 to 25-25 with the page which should be 25-24 blank also.

Cool. Thanks, Malcolm.

Even after you told me where to look, I still almost missed it. I started reading at page 25-1. Page 25-01 directly preceeds 25-1.

After reading your reply, I went back to page 25-1 --- then turned back another page for the heck of it. Voila!! Page 25-01 with the torque specs!

Thanks so much. If you hadn't made me look again, I wouldn't have noticed that page for a couple more years.

The injector actually is fitted into a large rubber seal and cup shaped seal housing. Before unscrewing the injector/housing make sure you have used a good penetrating lube such as PB Blaster. If the housing is corroded to the spider, the injector will round out the hex hole in the housing. BTDT. If it starts to strip/round a set of channel locks or vise grips may be required to loosen the housing. BTW the big three sell the replacement seals and new housings.

Thanks for the warning, Dennis. I'll watch for this.

I appreciate your help, guys.
