Carl, have you talked to John Speake? In my conversation he suggested that he could source most/all of the Bosch connectors, over there.

Hi Carl,

I am glad to see someone taking the time to make the disappearing NLA K-jet harness.

>The NEXT wiring harness we feel is endangering our species is the injector harness for the L-Jet
>cars. I get a lot of emails of misfiring or non-firing injectors attributed to this harness that is dying.
>The injector harness goes through the firewall to the LH and up into the dash too. Its a bear to

Just a heads up, someone may have given you incorrect info. The L-Jectronic harness is still available. I ordered one for someone yesterday at 4pm and it arrived at noon today. Brand new in the box from Porsche for only $358.59!

Sure is purdy and looks to have upgraded heat sleeving etc.

DR - Excellent! I am glad to hear that and will tell my customers. I cannot make it for that price. $359.00 is CHEAP.

My recommendation if I had an 80 to 84 LJet - buy one of these NOW while they are still available. Because either they are pulling from old inventory, or they haven't decided yet to stop having them made. But it will not last forever...

DR - Under further inspection of your picture - that looks to be the Injector Wiring harness, not the Engine Wiring Harness?

If it is the LJet injector harness I am still very surprised (and pleased) to hear it is available.

Do you know if the engine harness (from 14-pin connector on RF fender into the motor) is still available? I think not, but please surprise me!

Hi Carl,

>DR - Excellent! I am glad to hear that and will tell my customers. I cannot make it for that price. >$359.00 is CHEAP.

To be very honest I am surprised that Porsche's price isn't a lot higher!!

>My recommendation if I had an 80 to 84 LJet - buy one of these NOW while they are still available.

I agree, I am keeping back one for myself!

>Because either they are pulling from old inventory, or they haven't decided yet to stop having them >made.

I have seen a lot of old inventory from Porsche over the years, and this one looks really, really new!

> But it will not last forever...

OH YEAH, no doubt about it!!

Have a great 928 weekend,

Carl,

It is this one you described earlier in this thread ...

>The NEXT wiring harness we feel is endangering our species is the injector harness for the L-Jet
>cars. I get a lot of emails of misfiring or non-firing injectors attributed to this harness that is dying.
>The injector harness goes through the firewall to the LH and up into the dash too. Its a bear to
>replace - if a replacement was available - and it is not.

I haven't ordered the Front engine harness in a while, but will check into it on Monday..last I checked they were around $189 as they are not near as complex as the Fuel Injection harness.

FWIW, I've got an 'extra' 85 top harness that was completely reworked and in nice shape for sale ($100)... just let me know... IMO, it's pretty impossible to find a good used front harness, they seem to get trashed the worst... might be a good one to think about also...

regards!

I just bought some 2 pin connector from" Writh" and they were AMP. Also there is a web site that has the two and three pin AMP connectors, run a search using AMP connectors. As I recall the three pin was $27. I was looking for a three pin connector with a trianglur end found on the interior harness an discovered that Porsche sill has it availible.
I have come to dislike aftermarket radio and alarm installers, for they butcher the wiring.

Carl, I assume you've tried searching (AMP) Tyco-Electronics website for the connectors. If not, here's a link to the automotive powertrain connectors. http://catalog.tycoelectronics.com/T...4998&LG=1&I=13

Thanks for all your leads, you guys.

So far, this one had been the most fruiful: http://eagleday.com/ampconnectors.html

...and I have the connectors I was missing now on order.

But I want to hear from Dave Roberts first - to confirm that the OEM wiring harness is not first still available!

On the site I linked, I found some AMP part numbers for what look like the injector connectors and maybe the connectors to the LH box.

Edited to add: I think these are the injector connectors.
