Default Bad bad Bruno once again terrorizes the streets of San Diego

Yes, men tremble and women cover their children’s eyes and flee in horror as bad bad Bruno once again terrorizes the Streets of San Diego. Unfortunately though, all the terrorizing must be done at low speed until the new tires arrive on Tuesday, but the torque is absolutely adictive.

Thanks again Bill, Rich, and everyone else for your help.

Congratulations!

Head up El Cajon Blvd past Hillside Hospital and right on Park, down to Madison and turn left. Put the pedal to the metal. Don't forget that Madison eventually, albeit straight as an arrow and sloping downwards, DOES come to an end. Start braking about the time you get to New Hampshire Street or your next stop will be on the Freeway a long long way down.

Madison was my favorite drag racing street and I could cut down New York Street, duck into the dog-leg alley by Hoffman Street where the old crazy guy lived on the corner, and come out in the middle of Rhode Island Street, right next to my home at 4529, should the law men be in the area.

My Lowered, Channelled, Chopped, Flamed and Glass Packed 1950 Kaiser Traveller with the Continental V8, three on the tree .... and my duck tail hair do with the waterfall in front ... oh yeah ...

Oh, them teen age days ... and less than 20 miles to TJ ....

Cheers,

Dave

All right Steve! Can't wait to see Bruno in action. Send those tires to Yokohama for their museum . My "Beast's" quieter near twin rides again.

Hey Bill,

No driving event today? Rained out? Believe it or not, when I got the car started and headed down to the gas station to fill it up, the timing belt light came on. Being Mr. paranoid, I immediately headed back to the garage and pulled of the timing belt covers. The tension was fine, and I think it was just the sensor connector. When I got it all back together, it was fine. Anyway, with all the sh*t that has happened to me lately, I guess I should have expected it. Driving with those tires is like riding an angry horse. I can't wait to get the new rubber on and do some serious high speed (within the legal limit) touring.

Also, get this, she left several messages today saying she "wants to talk", but I've not called her back - I've got a new love you know!

Steve

Hey Steve! That timing belt warning probably was the connector, and considering the trouble you told me you were having with that part if the tensioner, the metal strip may be bent, giving false alarms. The light will come on after @ 3 minutes if there is a problem in that area. When you do the retensioning, give me a call and I'll take a look at it. My autocross is tomorrow up in Fontana... hoping the weather will cooperate, but wouldn't mind a little wet weather practice. This isn't 'redneck rally' after all!

Ha! Tell her to put on some nice tight black leather clothes, like your new love, and then MAYBE you'll talk!
