You forgot to deduct the 8.99999 minutes of editing the photo and posting the reply!

928s aren't the ONLY thing I like :-)

I just remembered that I also photoshopped one of the previous photos for a little bit of that "speed" look:

DR,

You all know S.O. do not weigh an ounce over 90 lbs.

And this ain't Nascar. We don't acid dip the body shells to save some weight. That was funny when the Nascar boys were warned NOT to jump on their roofs in celebration. Dented roofs do not pass tech.

A few 928's show up to DR and Jeannie's tea party.

Same parking lot (but shot from other end), different year.

BTW, Ernest, isn't that your shark in the next to the last photo -- you know, this one --

-- that I posted in this thread a few messages back? I've always really liked that photo. Great color for a shark, and a great setting. Looks like it belongs in a two-page magazine ad. My wife took that photo at SITM 2003.

Shane,

I agree those snow pictures are beautiful, black and white is really under estimated these days.

Cheers/Peter

I too agree, I would love to have a framed poster of that first one!

Hi Ed,
That be my shark. Lagoon Grun Metallic.
It's that hint of green that makes paint matching such a pain.

That drive up the mountain is sure fun without the fog/errant cyclist/ and COLD. Those from warmer climes with wired shut
heater valves were real sorry in 2003.

Only got 3 months to get shark ready for SITM 2005.

That was me in that picture!

[I was shivering in front of the fire in the park building....I left my parents house in Asheville that morning figuring on a 70 degree/ 21 C moring, so I left my leather uniform jacket behind and wore only a shirt. I wound up looking like a nearly-frozen drowned rat~]

Inside the building I was hanging by the fire- Grandfather Mountain is notorious for cool spells, and my mother knew it....she warned me before I left.

It was an amazing meet nonetheless....

Default daytime pic

its overcast at the minute and not the best weather for taking pics (no direct sunlight) but here is the car as it stands currently, still awaiting engine and tranny upgrade... the turbo wheels fill out the rear arches nicely at 11" with 315 rubber! ive got about 2 minutes and 30 seconds (is that right?) of negative camber on the rear and the outer edges of the tyres dont do much, needs to be brought down a lot.

Wow...very nice. You must be so proud But don't use the weather as an excuse - we want more pics

What plans do you have for the engine and tranny? 32v engine? Ever thought of sourcing an Aston Martin DB9 gearbox for it

I never liked the turbo wheels on a 928 but this is making me change my mind. I guess the side spoilers (where did you get them from?) and wide rubber set it off right.

By the way, I believe you were meaning 2 degrees.......

andre, so is it 2 degrees and 30 min then? the readout from the alignement is 2.30 or something, stock is i think about .40 , this alignement has been fine with the 255 rears i had on before but these 315 are something else. i have a GTS engine which is being rebuilt stock excepting the sump baffle, drilled oil control holes in pistons and re-profiled cams. it will be mated to dual 2.5" exhaust and x-pipe and custom tuned on the dyno, all going well. the transmission will be swapped from existing auto to a GTS 5 spd as well. im absolutely loving driving this beast around even as it is, the performance has really woken up with the exhaust mods and loosing about 100kg. also it never fails to surprise me how the car responds to mechanical attention as it seems to go back to new or better. i guess the german manufacture allows for repeated re-assembly which isnt the case with other cars. what part of oz are you in?
