Default A couple questions about 928 wheels and offsets

Hi everyone, pardon the intrusion . I'd like to know If any of the 928 versions have offsets similar to my 951. It has the same brakes as the S4s, and I think that is why the offsets are different from the other late 951s. In the front they are 65mm, and in the back they are 60mm, is that the same on any of your cars?

The reason I ask is because I'm looking to buy a new set of wheels, but if I can find ones that fit I'd much prefer to get them used. I'm looking for 18 inch wheels that are 8 or 8.5 inches wide in front and 10 inches wide in back. If any one has a set for sale speak up or if anyone has anything with those offsets speak up, even if it isn't those sizes. I'm trying to figure out all my options before I buy a new set of wheels that are worth more than my whole damn car .

Thanks

928gt.com has the standard wheel/tire sizes listed for each year. IIRC, S4 fronts are 16x7 65mm, rears are 16x8 52.3mm.

I thought typical 928 front offset was 65mm on the 16x7 wheel, with 60mm being used on the 89 GT

You should be able to fit 18X10 ET 65 on the rear, and 18X8 ET 50 on the front of your 951. I have seen some 951's with 996 wheels, but do not know if they use spacers etc... ASk on the 951 board.

You can get some used deals on ebay if you look very carefully... I run the above combo with 295/30 R and 235/40F on my 928..
