ive heard that when you re-assemble the rear with new bushes you will nedd to apply a ratchet tie-down across the rear to pull the lower arms into spec.

Thanks guys. Tom you and Doc may be right. Just set the other side up to the same 1.5 degrees negative, and go!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrecktech, it's the rear, so no spindle so to speak. The hub carrier is a massive aluminum forging, and I really don't see how it could be twisted at all, but anythings possible.

Drnick, I've never heard of the ratchet thing before. Do you have more complete info on that???

Chris... glad you're "back", with a healthy shark.

I'm envious (see thread "I'm HIT"). To the shop Tuesday
then, after a time of withdrawal, back to the road.

Keep the shiny side up.

Well, I finally got around to getting an estimate to repair the body damage today, and was pleasantly suprised. They only wanted $817.60 to do the work, and said that if I take off and re-install the rear bumper cover, they would drastically reduce that price. (they quoted 6 hours of labor to R&R the cover @ $40/hr) I was very pleased, as I was expecting closer to $1500.00. Hopefully this accident will be just a bad memory.

Too good to be true Chris. Look at their work, and if it's good work JUMP at it

Heinrich, they are a VERY reputable shop. The local independent Porsche shop sends all their work to this particular body shop. Needless to say, I was very pleased.
