Default Rennlist Member needs clarification

I am a Rennlist member, and have a card at home. Yet it just shows "registered user" or something like that by my name. What gives? I don't really mind, but I know that other people have expressed quite a bit of frustration at people who make use of Rennlist's vast resources, but are not financially supportive. I don't believe I fall into that category and would prefer to not be mistaken as such.

You still have to send $ 10.00 to each member before they will change your designation. My address is listed in my profile, or you can just put $ 10.00 on deposit in my name with 928 international.

My BF has the same problem. He e-mailed someone twice about it and nothing's happened. It's about time for him to renew his membership after a year and he's still only listed as "registered user".

What's funny is he doesn't have access to "off-topic" so I keep telling him to check out the grid girls and he can't. hee hee . . . . . . .

I would think (hope) that a PM to Randy or Jen would get it cleared up.

On behalf of the "registered User" category, I want to apologize unreservedly for my existance in time and space. As Groucho once observed, "I would not want to be a memeber of any club that would have someone like me as a member". We are the unwashed, and certainly undeserving leaches that suck on the valuable resouces that you august personages have bequeathed to it's lesser riff-raff.

Now, from time to time, one of us rises up, and tries to help out another Porsche owner, regardless of standing in the "club". I know I've gotten several nice thank you's from members for a small iota of research that may have assisted them, in a minor way. We do this, without regard to the iconoclastic differences in our membership status.

I sincerely hope that Randy changes your status soon, as I consider you to be giving the "Registered User" category a distinct oduer, and I would not you to be mistaken with us. I hope this has clarified things just a bit. Finally, quoting again, this time from the great Orwell: "Yes, we want everyone to be equal. Just not as equal as us....."

Vinceramos!

Doc, reads like you've been spending too much time in the octane boost thread.

I've found Jen to be most responsive with anyand all issues/questions. Especially to those of us (me) that are somewhat technologically-challenged...

OK, you're all set, Brian.

Apologies for the delay - the Admins sometimes get overwhelmed with stuff.

Hi Beth,

If you know your BF's user name I can get him updated. But I do like the idea of keeping your boy friend out of the grid girl's thread. Do you think John D. would let me get away disabling his access to the grid girls??? My fear would be is he would threaten me with forwarding his admin email to my email box!!!

Hey! Thanks for the compliment! Randy always makes me feel like I'm slacking off on the job!
