Default Wheels and tires

I'm looking at buying different wheels and tires for my 86.5 shark.

What other Porsche wheels will fit and ride good (size, height/width)? Are there any after market wheels out there worth mentioning?

Anyone selling right now?

Thanks, D

I was contiplating selling my wheels and tires. They are AT Itallia Riva's 17" 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears the front tires are in new condition and the rears are about 50%. There are a couple of scuffs on them but are still very stunning looking I would put them about an 8.5 out of 10. The only problem I have in selling these is what to replace them with? Pm me and we will talk. I have NO rubbing problems at all.

Get wheels like GARTH S and you'll "be there." What he has are beautiful. He lists frequently on Rennlist and shows his wheel by his name. In my mind they don't come more beautiful.

Hi Darien,

Check our website www.928gt.com, look in the Performance > Wheels section. There are a lot of different wheels there (more coming soon). This will help you see some of the used wheels/tires the guys here on the list may have for sale (at a much better price than I could sell you new)! Of course if you don't find the ones you want used please let us know and we will take care of you.

ive just put 911 twin turbo wheels on mine with 11" rears, these wont fit without flared rear fenders. previously i had a set of cup 2 replicas, 7.5 and 9 x 17"

technicaly all the 911 wheels have incorect front offset and so can upset handling a little, more recently the 997 wheels in 18" are quite a close match but expensive.

I have the same/similar setup as drnick. They're cup replicas. I love them! I'm running 275's on the rear. That's a lot of rubber! Looks cool too! Better yet, I got a steal on them from a fellow rennlister here. Wheels and almost new rubber for... get this... $690 with shipping included. I would have paid $800. Can't wait to put some serious hurtin' on them this summer!

Personally I like the 2002 911 "lightweight" five spoke wheels....18" with a thin spoke, very sharp on a 928....the big three can get them + wheelenhancement! Pricey, but hey its original porsche wheels

Default BBS Wheels

I have some BBS wheels for sale if you are interested.......
They are on my 89 S4 now, but I'm not sure if they will fit on earlier models.
They come with Dunlop Sport 5000s on them.

They have an 80's look to them I think......not my style.
I'm looking to get $600.00 for them plus shipping.
They are in very good condition.

Thumbs up

What offset do I need to look for?

I may have found a set, will a 10X18 rub in the rear? They're off a 1995 911.

Unless your fenders are flared (i.e. GTS) I don't think so. But I might be wrong.

i think the standard 10" 911 rears have been fitted to the 928 without trouble although you may need to roll the lip of the arch. as you can see here in this thread the carrera 5 spokes have been fitted to the S4 and also greg gray has fitted them to his earlier car.
