Yes. It has the twin distributors, and was originally attached to an automatic transmission.

-He says the auction doesn't include the induction. Does that mean that the [important] intake manifolds aren't included?

Well, it's dual ignition and it's a 16-valve (assuming that they're right about it being '85), which are both Euro tipoffs. Those are my only observations, I'm afraid.

EDIT: wow, the time it took me to type two others got there first! What was the Automatic tipoff, Normy?

The little straight metal vacuum tube that runs from the front of the center part of the spider....5 speeds don't have this.

VERY good price! However - only if you are grabbing it for a spare. Otherwise, the computer boxes, unless they are included in the auction, are made of unobtainium and cantaffordium!

Someone needs to ask the seller if the 2 brain boxes are included!

I suspect you'll need the harnesses, too.

Oh and since it came out of a wrecked car you need to check the block for cracks around the A/C, alternator and power steering mounting bolts. BTDT

I emailed the seller about the computers. Here's his response:

"hi,i have the computers don't go with the motor."

Not much point in a Euro motor without the computers. Unless as was mentioned above that you need a spare.

That's probably why the motor is such a good price. He's trying to lure someone in with the motor and then catch them with the computers. "Oh yeah I forgot. You have to use these two little boxes and they cost $250.00 each!"

Ummm....I think you need to add a "1" in front of the price!

IF (BIG IF) you can find an '85 EURO JETRONIC controller for under $650 - it'd be a BARGAIN!

Even without the computers, it's not a bad deal. Complete EuroS heads are usually $400-550, which almost covers the cost of the engine. If you want to use it as a complete engine and don't have the Bosch computers, you can get BrendanC's route with after market injection and ignition systems. You get more programmability for less money.

Interesting... Horseheads is approx 70 minutes from my house (what am I doing this weekend....hmmmmmm) What is the performance advantage of the 'twin dizzy' setup that the 'single dizzy' setup does not have. I'm not talking about the engine, cams, intake, etc.. Seems to me you are introducing more parts that may fail.
