79 clutch disks
I've just recieved #1 and #2 disks from international. The rear disk from my clutch seams to be different than both the disks I have recieved from international?? The legnth of the splined tube where the center shaft goes through the disk is longer on the removed rear disk by about 1/2"?
Any one run in to this before? I rechecked the part numbers on the disks that I have recieved from international and they seem to be excactly what I ordered.
92811601123 and 92811601124
Thanks for any input

I don't know if this is your case but often people with earlier cars upgraded their clutch to the '84 - '86 model. Clutch disc 1 and 2 for the '80 - '86 cars calls for part # .35 and .36. Could this be your situation? If I remember right their were 6 clutch upgrades in the span of 2 years or so. Things like the size of the pivot ball, release fork, etc. as well as the major components like pressure plate, intermediate plate and disks.

A quick PET check shows those to be the right part numbers. "23" goes near the flywheel and "24" goes near the pressure plate.
I'd be more worried if the shaft was longer. Might not be much consolation, though.

I kinda wondered about an upgrade as well.
The early clutch used a "rim centered" intermediate plate where there's a lip on the flywheel. In '80 this was changed to "dowel centered" where three dowel pins run through the intermediate plate and the flywheel.
