Funny 928 Vin#

Anybody:

the Vin listed below belongs apparently to a 928 originally tuned by dp motorsports.
It is my understanding that dp never got approved for being a manufacturer, therefore they shoudl use the original Porsche in#.
Who can decifer the following Vin#: WP0JB0921ES860309

84 US version, just remove the "is" where ever that came from must be a typo?

D    = Body and engine code, 6 = US model 4sp automatic or 5sp manual
EFGH = Sequence within A and D
