Default sell it or keep it

as the owner of a 82 weissach I have a problem
keep it or sell it
ive have it for two years now
interior needs work...seats, dash, pod,etc.
needs respray....
runs like stink..though not fast enough
gets many looks
i like it
but...but
almost wish it was not a weissach
because the things i would do to this car may ruin it
not that its not ruined already
it was totalled when i got and maybe even once before in ca
the quality of this car is really good
but thinking about a 912
had a 914 before this and miss that too
crap may even get a 79 trans am

ill leave it up to you guys
what to do???????
i have it insured for much more than i have in it(because its on of 205)
so i cant loose

ideas?....within reason
p

Doesn't sound like you're happy with the car. It's an uphill battle.
If you're sure that this isn't a passing phase sell it. Please don't let it become lawn art or worse.
Just one mans opinion.....

explain... maybe add some pics so we can give a more informed opinion
as long as you are keeping the shark alive I think most folks would be ok with changes, unless of course you paint it dayglo green with an orange interior,, then you might hear some real lip

changes don't sound drastic
if you feel guilty about altering a limited edition car, maybe someone with another shark in similar condition would want a weissach and work a trade deal

Good of you to ask. IMHO, I am about to be killed I know ... but Weissach Smeissach. No performance upgrades, and not the most powerful or best of the 928's .... unless it is NOW pristine or near it, I'd build it exactly like I wanted.

Sounds like you want to own a 928, just not a "work in progress". Sell it & buy a better example?
I do like the T/A option, just make sure they throw in the jacket and CB radio
