I was working inside all day and decided to check the weather online. Wow! 48 degrees! I sealed up the paint cans, washed the brushes and ran outside with a can of PB Blaster, some Simple Green and paper towels.
Hopefully the last of my parts will come by this weekend and maybe I'll have good enough weather to assemble. I sprayed some bolts with PB Blaster that I hadn't gotten loose when disassembling originally. Then I decided to take a closer look at my waterpump. I noticed that the outer ring on the pulley was dented a little. That solidified my decision to replace it. Then I grabbed the pulley to give it a little twist. It wouldn't budge. The WP had seized.
Since it's getting dark I didn't remove the WP today. Hopefully I'll have time to do that tomorrow. Then I can compare it to the spare core and see which one to replace. I also didn't get any cleaning done.
