Default vacuum hose replacement question

I read the threads and many recommend hosetechique and I've ordered their sample kit.. So for those who have gone that route. My question:

There are a few elbows that are ~270 degrees and the OD of all the hosetechique hoses is too large to fit inside the elbows. Are you putting the hose on the outside of the elbow, eliminating the elbow or using another elbow (if so from where)? I'm thinking that my current set up is wrong, becasue some vac hose is white and other is black. Is that normal?

i think they're 90º elbows, not 270ºs...
