Default $35 GTech Pro Meter

For all you speed junkies.

http://dealnews.com/artclick.html?78639,108369

Don't know how much shipping and handling.
But if you really need to know 0-60 times.

No affiliation with Surplus Computers.

Instantaneous lateral G's?
Aren't you too busy trying not to 180 to try and read a
jiggling red LED readout.

Any of you SC guys going to git one and post some
0-60 bragging times.
4 to 4.5 seconds? Sub 4's??

Ernest (NYC)
88 S4 5-speed with 2.20
Supposed to get to 60 around 6 secs.

Hmmm, anybody ever do business with these people, sounds to good to be true. I went all the way to putting my info in,and it said I would get free UPS ground shipping.

I'm with you, handing out your cc info is like asking for trouble.
Here is another source for the original (10yr old) model. At least this buyer was satisfied with the deal

Just ordered mine, at $29.95 it seemed too good to miss - but are they any good? Can you get usuable repeatable measurements?

For instance, I'd like to know whether there's any performance difference between 95 Ron and 98 Ron fuel.

Thanks Nick, I've bought a spare one which I'll be bringing back from the US in two weeks, probably going to put it on eBay.co.uk to try to recoup some of the cost for the first one, prices here seem to be about £30 - I'll bear your $20 in mind though!

If it's any consolation...I did a reverse lookup on the phone number....it showed "Surplus Computers" with the same address listed on the website.

The manufacturer (Gtech) unloaded all their old stock when they introduced the newer version. They're even warranted/supported. I picked mine up from the factory for $35 via the ebay site; had a problem with the power cord and they overnighted a replacement. Good guys all around - they even have a webforum for questions (http://www.gtechproforums.com/forums/).

For $35 it was an easy decision. They're legit (at least GTech direct).

Haven't actually used the meter yet, but can't fault gtechpro on eBay for their service. Can't wait to get it home and try it out!
