Default Tim's 928

Hi there everyone. I am the new lucky owner of Tim Ketterson's 89' 928. Is he the nicest guy in the world or what?? Anyway, I am already at work on fixing the very few things wrong with it. It is truly a joy to drive. I look forward to becoming a part of the community here and have already been impressed by the help that I have received. I will be parting with my 87' auto some time in the very near future, so if anyone might be interested, drop me a note here or at gf261@hotmail.com. It is an 87' auto, black on grey, no rear air though. I have a few minor things to fix on it, ie. driver door handle, passenger window motor and switch, a couple of bulbs here and there. More than likely, it will also receive a new paint job prior to sale. I have a friend who does an excellent job and will probably have that done. I will be posting it on the classifieds here as soon as I am ready to part with it. (Which won't be long since the wife says that one of us HAS to go!) It needs little, seems to be sound mechanically, just a few cosmetic things. It is at 90,000 right now. Anyway, enough ramblings. Tim bragged on all of you here and I am already making plans for the next Sharks in the Mountains. Does anyone have a date on it? Thanks again for all of your support and know that Tim's car is in good hands and will be WELL taken care of.

Dave Roberts and gang are setting up their new www.928gt.com site.
But SITM 2005 is June 4-6th.
Not all their parts are loaded up but I think the SITM link works.
It did yesterday.

The Holiday Inn hopefully will not get filled up so quickly now that
we are not fighting the local College graduation crowd.

Best line heard at last SITM 2004:
Tourist comes out of her room sunday morning.
"Look. There's another one of those funny looking cars."
She looks around and over 1/2 the parking lot is filled with 928's of
all colors and description.
Not something one would expect in a sleepy picturesque little town
in the mountains of NC.

Ernest (NYC)
Anders, you flying over for SITM?
Wonder if Graham and Jon H. will be there.
Be quite a flight from NZ for Jon.

Isn't Tim a great guy?? We bartered a bit on price and I was able to talk him out of the factory manuals that he had. What a find!! He is an excellent records keeper and I feel VERY fortunate to have purchased his car.
