Has anyone used the Goodrich G-force T/A kds at a DE? I wanted to know about how many events I could expect to get out of the tires. camber on the fronts are 2.5 degree, rear 2 degress. The car is driven very little on the street, trailered to and from events. (S4). Any more cost effective suggestions without losing the grip the G-Forces provide? From what I read, there doesn't appear to be any equal in terms of street tires, and I'm afraid the R-compounds will wear to quickly
Thanks,
Dave

What size tire are you running?
BFG KD's are pretty expensive street tires. Right now Tirerack has Pirelli PZero Corsas and Dunlop Supersport Race tires on sale. If you're running 18" tires, you can get two sets of either the Corsa's or SSR's for the price of one set of KD's. You'll probably come out ahead in total tire life and have more grip in the process.

Dennis,
Yes they are 18". I was looking at 285/30 rears and 265/35 fronts to keep the tires the same height or close to stock. Any of the R-Conpounds would wear quicker than the street tires, right?

On my car, the street Michelin Pilot Sports lasted 10-12 days on the front and 14-16 days on the rear. I had some problems with the Corsas on really hot days >90 deg. F and they lasted only 5 days (30 heat cycle) on the front. I'm trying them again and they seemed to be wearing better on winter days. I also drive my car to the track, which hurts R-compound life somewhat.
The SSR's are supposedly more durable than the Corsas but I have no direct experience. Sasco also has the SSR's and I believe they have the 285's in stock. They may be on sale there too.
