Default Intervention almost needed.

Like many I went away for Xmas. We took the Jeep up to NorCal for the holiday. While board out of my mind at my mother in law's I was cruzin Ebay and started looking at the 850's. Remembering the one I looked at before I got the S4 that was very nice, thinking to myself about a game plan. I got home last night and the first thing I did while unloading the car was stared at the S4. The other idea was rapidly dismissed. So I'm better know.

Hey Joe, did you ever get those motor mounts done? Glad you decided to keep the S4.

Thank God Joe, you had me worried for a moment! Thought I may have to fly down and administer the cure - a slap across the chops with a cold mackerel .
BTW, it is OK to have a Bimmer in the stable - WITH a 928, but it's not something frequently acknowledged in public .... .

I'd pay good money to see that mackerel slap.

I represent that statement. Jeeps were my first love (I've had 8), BMW's are my second love (I've had 9) and the third time is the charm, my one true love Porsche (I've had 3 928's)

Gee, I just can't see how a rear engine, water cooled, 850cc Fiat can compare to a 928. I too, would love to witness a nice mac-slap, as long as it's not me.

Next time you get that urge, another way to get over it quickly, is to drive one of those things......especially right after you have been in your S4......."lacking" is an appropriate word......Nice looking car though, just too bad about tha lack of real sack......

Why would you want a car that is 78 less than a 928?

Just kidding....

Hey Garth,

Just because I had a momentary laps but quickly recovered from it does not mean I do not need that mackerel slap. I make plenty of bad decisions daily to warrant that flight down for you to administor positive education . I tooled the S4 around a little today. Man it is righteous.

Keep me informed. I am single again and my schedule is wide open. I still have my car and it needs them too. Would love to be involved when you decide to do them.

Gotta find a host with a pool, it seems, so that we can tear into a rotator cuff. ;(

My car probably needs the mounts, and I have a set of new ones in the parts box for one of these days.

My list includes TB/WP before summer, the MM and oil pan gasket when I get around to it, a ride height adjustment and toe check soon, based on the front tire wear pattern. An AT service is in the cards soon too, along with the oil change and battery service overdue from last fall.

Al I need now is the time to do all this stuff...

Weekends I've got Bob and would love to help. I'm dying to assist on a TB job.
