Default It never hurts to ask.

My friend's body shop had a set of Boxter wheels sitting up on a shelf for the past year, and I finally followed up on them, tracking down the owner. He says "I don't care what you do with them, I don't want them." Another caring Boxter owner.
My friend with an '85 euro with phone dials will be psyched to get them, and they'll fit: 17x7 et55 and 17x8 et55. No $, he'll just owe me a favor.
They aren't the ultimate 928 wheelset, but look "cooler" than the classic phonedials. They need tires.
2nd pic is his euro, picked up a couple months ago.
edit: the rears are 17x9 et55

H- One of his phonedials has a flat spot on the inside part of the rim, but Rixter was kind enough to sell him a straight one (not as perfect finish). The wheels were balanced out ok, but there is a small vibration at speed. If he'll part with them I'll let you know. The tires are 90% Pirellis.
UFO- they're only Boxter wheels, not that big a deal. If you lived around here, you'd probably be helping me.

Brian,
You can be 'totally retro', and refit the brakes and suspension from an '80: I happen to know the wherabouts of one in great shape that can be swapped out - and as you will no longer have any use for those wheels in the avatar ....
Just think about those great looking phone dials on your car ....
With a bit of looking around, a two foot long shift lever may also be located for the transformation, and ..., and .. oh, no 5-sp!

My Grandpa (who's 92 years young) used to tell me, "If you don't ask, you won't get it." Anther way to look at is (for all you hockey fans), "100% of all shots not taken, will not score!"

Awesome job - and obviously a kind person.
