An expensive way to get your motor mounts done
We all showed up at Roger's place around 9:30 and proceded to work on our own motor mounts with Roger and Jim Mazuryk helping out. About 10:30 I decided to do a personal inspection of Roger's bathroom facilities, dropped a foot into the covered pool, and tore the #^&%$% out of my left rotator cuff.
After my religious experience was over I returned to the garage in about as useless a condition as **** on a bull.
Doc Mirror showed up without his shark, which is still in the upholstery shop, and he and Roger proceded to do the entire job themselves while I looked on with my arm tied up in an old pillow case.
The one armed drive home was "interesting" and the car is as smooth as a kitten's wrist, or, as they say here in Texas, as smooth as deer guts on a doorknob.
I owe the guys a big one!
Pictures to follow.

Roger,
Please have the proper signage posted prior to Ernests next visit!
" PLEASE DO NOT PEE IN THE POOL"
Seriously Ernest - very sorry to hear that: I hope a R&R recovery will save you a 'nip & tuck' fix from an Orthopod. At least it wasn't your drinking arm ....

Justin,
The pool cover looked like solid ground.
Garth,
You're just not used to the size of Texas toilets! 'Sides, I was lookin' fer a Bush ta pee on!! (Capitalization intended)
I've got a feeling this one's gonna need sewin'. My shoulder girdle was completely relaxed when I fell and the head of my humerus ended up in the next county!!

I was too busy wrenching to take snaps but Steve took some of his mounts, and a few underneath. Things proceeded well, notwithstanding Ernies mishap. Poor chap, he'll be out of comish for a while. My only complaint with the whole process was NO BLOODY AIR SUPPLY! ZZZZZZZZzzzzzz,,,,zzzzzzz,zz,zzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!
Roger was again a gracious host, and I was amply supplied with liquids during the process. I only had two fat pills(donuts) for energy, and I hope those extra parts we found later don't belong on Ernie's car somewhere.

Quick up date.
Steve and I are still wrenching - had one h--l of a problem with his horizontal cross member bolts.
All in now and about ready to fire her up.
I have some great shots of Ernie having his dislocated shoulder being put back in its socket - makes your eyes water.
I need to now go and dump a lot of chlorine in the pool now I know where everyone was peeing.
Ernie, whats the prognosis on the shoulder - Zane and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Shoulder update:
I was HOPING that the shoulder was dislocated and that the maneuver would work, but it wasn't and it didn't.
X-Rays show a glenoid compression fracture, that's the part of the scapula with which the humerus articulates. I'm hoping that the glenoid took the brunt of the force and that the rotator cuff is relatively intact. Time and an MRI will tell.

Ernest,
I wish you a speedy etc - BTDT + cracked ribs falling off the roof. Rotator cuff was stuffed, and despite some stiching , has never been the same again. Hope yours comes up better than that. Doesnt stop me doing al my own work though.

Ernest, I wish you a most complete and speedy recovery. Ouch.
JP, I know Aussies are a bit different, but honestly- peeing off the roof does seem a bit extreme.
And now I must relurk to trailer my GT for the 250 mile journey to my new home in Oregon. And after what I went through to get an equity loan to buy the place, I'd rather have two broken arms.
