I can go months without seeing another Shark. Yesterday while driving around South Florida I saw three different Sharks. First a GTS - couldn't get the driver to notice. Looked like it had just been detailed - very clean. Second, a pre-S4 with a body kit and a young blond lady driving. She was going the other way and I don't know if she noticed my GT. Nice sound, like an RMB. Third, an S4 or GT (it didn't have the rear marking). That guy noticed and followed me up the I-95. When I had to exit, he pulled up and we shared two big thumbs up. His car was also spotless. It looked like a brand new car.

Now the quiz. All three cars were the same color. Guess what color?

Other than my own, I've only seen 1 in the past 6 months. And I was in my daily (ugh) driver at the time.

Re the older body kit, the nose was original. It had side panels and big flares over the rear wheels - kind of Strosek style. That's all I know.

The 2nd 928 you saw, the pre-S4, with the blonde woman, had to be a red one. Everyone knows blondes look better in red sports cars. Even THEY know that (blonde women that is).

Yes strangely enough I see 928's pretty often here in the PNW. And most of them not people I know. I once thought I knew most 928 owners here but they just keep coming. I think I know more than 100 just locally, and I don't fail to see an unknown 928 at least one every 2 weeks. Sometimes I see 3 or 4 a day.

A sure way for me to see 928s is to drive around in my BMW. When I take out my 928, they all disappear. Something about there being a regulation in so cal about so many 928s per square mile.

It's the exact opposite here in South Carolina (Greenville-Spartanburg area), you rarely see 928s. You see Porsches, models like Boxsters and 911s, several, everyday. Not quite as common as BMWs, you see those as much as you see Ford Mustangs.

My best 928 sighting day was seeing 8 different cars in a 2 1/2 hour time frame in and around Laguna Beach. Was a year ago or so. Blew me away.Pappy says the 928 has become a status car there now.

At a gas station yesterday this old dude says he never sees these 928 but he saw 3 of them yesterday. He actually knew it was a 928! I asked what colors the other sharks were and sounds like local hoodlems I hang out with.

I've been known to fit that bill sometimes, pretty well
