Koenig wheels finally done...
Thought everyone would appreciate seeing this. After 2 months of polishing, painting, plating, etc.., I'm finally done with restoring these old wheels on the Koenig car. I stunned at the condition they came out in (also can't believe the previous owner(s) let the wheels get to the state they were in).
I believe these are BBS 3-piece RS 080's, as the original bolts have 'BBS' stamped on each head (and its also stated on the German title copy) but there's no BBS marking on the inside of the wheel centers. I thought maybe the wheels could be from Kerscher Tuning, since they got hold of this car at one point.
The outer rim halves were stripped and polished, the inner halves and wheel centers are painted with a 2 stage urethane (its a newer Porsche silver color). Since I couldn't find the original BBS bolts at first, I started stripping and plating the original bolts and nuts. Of course BBS wouldn't sell me the bolts directly, its a liability issue I think. But I later ended up finding them brand new through HRP world.com, who is just a vender for BBS, so they dropshiped the bolts directly to me from BBS in Georgia....go figure!! Here's the link http://www.hrpworld.com/index.cfm?fo...action=product
Here it is, enjoy!

Glad you chimed in Bill!
great pics
And the car really is a unique "one off" When he makes the turn at the top of my neighborhood and im in the garage working, I can hear it coming. Like all 928s this one too has its own rumble.

Nice looking ride, but get rid of the cast iron calipers and those little brakes. They just don't look suffcient for the rest of the car.
Neat body lines though....
