HOLY SHE-ITE Man .... that is Niiiiiice ... is that the pink superhero car from Canada? Who knew (as someone said at the time) that all it would take is paint. I am not a fan of black cars and would have gona a different colour but ... I didn't did I? ... NICE WORK. Btw the wheels also look absolutely stunning. When do we see her in living colour?

Looks great! Probably even better in person. I just put 275's on the back of my '82 - just notices you've got 335's That's some serious rubber. I bet you need it with the SC.

Thanks all. This car does take up my spare time, but its a labor of love I guess.. I keep going through the car one section at a time, cleaning, polishing, etc, etc. I'll tackle the exhaust next and put my arc welder to some use.
I biggest thing this car has is pitting and corrosion from being driven on salted roads in Germany, its all over anything aluminum (the engine, suspension, and wheels...) The car wasn't 'beat on' per say, it just sat for long periods of time - quite literally in the second previous owners living room!
Here's an engine shot:

Looks really mean machine. Albrex SC? AFAIK Koenig bought engine tuning from subcontractors like Lotec and Albrex.
PS. You have door window triangles wrong way around.

Erkka, please explain, do you mean the door side view mirrors?? If so, can you include a picture to show what it's supposed to look like.

Well, I wasn't wild about the engine colors myself, but they've grown on me. The engine was already powder coated this way when I bought the car. I'm just going through and restoring what is really a unique animal, with some improvements and mods of my own of course. So far I've pulled the interior out and cleaned it, added a Mocal oil cooler, had to deal with the damn crank bolt snapping in half and destroying the main belt pulley, front and top half of engine taken apart, discovered there was no flappy valve actuator.... temporary repair on the already rusting exhaust, oh, and restored the wheels.
Unfortunately, I don't know the complete history on the car, only what I knew of the previous owner and the guy he bought it from. But I knew what I was getting into when I got it, as I've had my 87 S4 for 7 years and completely taken that car apart myself.
I do know that the conversion must have been done around 92. Koenig did build the motor with the Albrex charger, they used a MY 88 block with a GTS crank. I found the car used to be originally silver with a maroon interior. They completely covered the interior in grey leather and added pieces from later S4 model years.
The gentleman I bought the Koenig from in Florida bought it over in Germany in late 2000. He told me when he went to the p.o.'s house to look at the car, he was shocked to find the car inside this guy's house, in the living room, sitting on the carpet, with the couch on one side and the t.v. on the other....he had sliding glass doors large enough and just drove it on in... Apparently, this was done in an attempt to hide the car from his recent ex-wife to keep her from getting her hands on it! He reportedly broke into tears as he sold it. (gee, I can't understand why..)
The Koenig was then put on a ship in Jan 01 and imported through Jacksonville, Fl. After the car cleared customs, it was missing quite a few interior pieces (they took/stole the stereo, spare tool kit, air compressor, spare tire), they were never recovered... But the cool thing is that the car still remains 'euro spec', he was able to get a Fl Title with absolutely no conversion work done. The car was worked on for several months by the p.o.'s mechanic, who pulled the engine out and did all the psychedelic powder coating work. It made its first 'appearance' at S.I.T.M. 2001 in N.C., where I saw it for the first time.

Is this the car that has the all everything leather interior including the best leather covered pod I've seen?
Edit: Never mind, I should have read a bit farther. That's it. Is it still smoking like a banshee?
