Default Looks like I'm buying a 2nd 928

It's a 1990 S4, 122k miles, Dark Blue, Black & blue interior, price was right and I couldn't pass it up. I have a verbal agreement with the guy and will probably be picking it up this weekend. Tell me what you guys think?
What I know it needs. A/C compressor, windshield, drivers side front fog lense and tires.

This is the kind of car I like to buy. Unmolested, but not necessarily too enthusiastically cared-for either. What's nice is that a car like this has usually been exercised regularly on one hand, and on the other, no-one has tried to fudge with the engine or driveline. Something like this can take no more than 1k to bring up to a level where it will run without incident for the next 50 years.

Thanks...... A few other things that he mentioned but I'm not sure about. He said that he has to unplug the drivers side view mirror because it kept changing position by itself and the VDO light comes on and goes off too. Is the mirror possibly going back to a preset? Does the VDO light normally come on and go off depending on weather the SLD is active? The guy that has the car doesn't seem to be very knowledgeable about it.
Oh......... and the front spoiler is missing.

Nice find. I know everybody is thinking it so I'll ask... how much??? Rude eh? What's your plans for it? Heinrich is right, for little money you will probably have a nice daily driver. Now that the pressure is off you can start looking for that third car. Have fun.

Front spoiler is a $500 program. Been there done that - and it's probably missing the belly pan for another $300.

Nice car, though.

This car has been in the auto trader for like 3 months. It was $9900 one month, then the next month it went to $10500, and finally it came back on autortrader recently for $8500. The car is in a suburb of St. Louis. Not the nicest part of the STL either. I am glad someone finally bought it that will take care of it. I had been trying to get people to buy this car for a while now.

Mike and Jason. I've asked the guy allot of questions....... yes, the car needs some TLC but unless you know something about the car that I am over looking $8500 for a 1990 928S4 is a steel. Can one of you guys look at it for me? You can tell Anton that I asked you to check it out.

Damn! That's a great deal. Good for you. That's what I paid for my 88 and I still feel like I stole it from the 19 year old selling it. You can put a small chunk of change into it and still be ahead of the game. Enjoy that S4 feeling.

He told me he was getting ready to list it on ebay. Hopefully he still honors our verbal agreement. I have plans to pick it up Sunday possibly Monday.......... How does the mileage go from 122k on autotader to 119k on ebay?
