Default Cold Start problem caused by Air Con Switch, ideas?

Any idea why leaving the air con switched on (when starting) would cause a cold start problem in cold or damp conditions?

The car will start up if I give it some juice with the acc pedal. Quite high revs some times. Basically it seems to act like its flooded and just will never start.

As soon as I get it started it runs fine at idle, etc and never stalls.

Fixed a long-term vacuum leak. Brand new powerful battery. Fuel pressure normal. Starting/charge electrics all test normal. Air con topped up and working as normal.

Havent touched the distr leads even tho they are probably getting to be 15 years old. Not convinced that they are the problem until exhausted other things.

Car has done 110K miles, serviced as normal.

Thanks in advance.

There is a feed from the aircon switch to the LH ECU, so there may be a problem with the LH ECU.
