I have to give my thumbs down for raised lettering. It looks stuck on like an afterthought. I guess I like model delete.

You need to decide how much you want to emphasize on the lettering. The more contrast, the more it will stand out.

I had a sample set of the red raised lettering at the Sharktoberfest. The red goes nicely with the red of the tail lights.

Black would certainly be more subtle than red; the carbon fiber might reduce the contrast further and give it some interesting depth.

I would not use a brushed silver on a silver metallic car, though. It's too close to be different enough, if you know what I mean...

I ended up selling the red raised letters at the end of the event. A gentleman loved them so much, he literally begged me to sell this display sample.

Sorry to be a downer, but . . . signage and mixing fonts doesn't work for me. From distance I would immediately think this was a 968 since it uses that script, "not that there's anything wrong with that" Porsche chose different fonts for different models. But to each his own.

Leave it to the better sex to inject common sense. Thanks Nicole, we'll be going with the black. I want subtle, but not invisible, and like Steve G said, "Porsche chose different fonts for different models." It's on the Christmas list along with the wood grain kit like Nicole's (in a darker wood for my navy interior), short shifter, bra and StonGard kit, along with everything else 928 .

Let me ask the opinion of the group -

I have been rattling around trying to design a tag for Supercharged Porsche 928's. I could include this tag/decal/sticker with our kist, and sell them to others.

But what should it say? What should the deisgn look like?

"Supercharged" in script? in Porscha 911 font?

"SC" Like "928 S4 SC" ?

Your thoughts...

My buddy is a salesman at the local MB dealership and i thought about getting 2 silver/chrome "kompressor" tags and placing them where the Euro sidemarker lights would be. Im still undecided. I like the stealth approach though...no tags...no stickers....just a louder BWaaaaahh and Im gone.!

Carl. How about 928SK4...928S4K
I guess using the "k" keeps it german???

You can find the "supercharge" tags in any Ford 5.0 mag.

Where could you find the "kompressor" tags besides a dealership?

Hi Tony,
Search "kompressor emblem" in Ebay.
Found 2. One's closing soooooon.

Happy Hunting.
Silver Kompressor raised letter on silber. Very Subtle.
Till the right foot tolls.

Will see how my "4S" sticker looks.
If it's really CF, then I can break it to reorder the letters.
Or just install upside down.

Ernest (NYC) I can break anything.
Just ask my car.

deleriousga, - this is the font that porsche used for the 928 as well as the 968 it seems. the other half of the letter set i purchased reads 'GTS'

i think you guys have to come up with a tag to destinguish these supercharged monsters from stock original. i like the idea of 'SC' as it will keep other porsche owners guessing.

My only hesitation with "Kompressor" is it's lack of originality...... It is also not very subtle. Maybe a simple "K" in the same font used for the S4, GT insignias. Even then, I am not sure I want to do any advertising at all........

I really like the clean lines of the black GT, no chrome, and a simple FACTORY original design insignia.

Hell, where I am from, there are very few people who even know what a 928 GT is anyway....

better picture:
