Default Baltimore area garage needed for photo shoot

Hey, folks,

Caprice Ericson, a location scout I've worked with on many of my ad shoots, is looking for a garage to do a photo shoot in. She is not just looking for show garages, so if your garage is average with cinder block construction or unpainted drywall, that’s okay. The client is Stewart-Warner (via some ad agency), they would need it for the day and, yes, they do pay. I don't think they are looking to shoot anyone's cars since they will, most likely, be supplying their own vehicles to suit the ad.

The project is a still photo shoot and would involve a photographer (no, this is not my project) with his crew to come in and light the garage and perhaps prop it out. The photographer is insured and the crew are trained pros. No gorillas to damage stuff.

Typical prices are anywhere from $700-$1500 plus to rent the location. I have no idea what the true budget is, but the price is negotiable and is set by how badly they would want to use your garage (i.e. how perfect your garage is for the concept). It's the easiest money to make since you don't have to do a single thing, and you'll get paid on the spot. This might be a good way to pay for those looming Christmas bills, fresh track tires, current year's body damage, etc.

Also, it might be fun to see how much effort goes into a typical still shoot. Most people are amazed at how much lighting, propping, and detail orientation is required of a print shoot. You might even impress your friends with all of the new terminology you've learned such as flagging, gobos and C-stands.

If anyone is interested, please PM me with your phone number so I can put you in touch with Caprice. She will need to take some digital photos so the photographer and client can see what they all look like. General shoot date is around the first week of December. The client needs to stay in the greater Baltimore area; DC and Virginia, unfortunately, are too far away.

If you can think of anyone else who might be interested, please pass on that info, too.

Thanks!
