Wink

"The other is gonna be more like a leather clad, german dominatrix in jack-boots, you will show her respect or you will be punished! "

Wow! I will never look at my 928 the same way again.

My kids named the current car "Candy" because of the name of the exterior color and the interior color. My old S4 was called Jaws. They named my CBR Sharky due to the color being grey. I always think of Sharky's machine when the mention it.

Regards,

I had a roomate in Dallas [Euless] in 1996 who refered to his '85 911 Carerra as "the coupe". I just call my car "the Porsche", pronouncing the [Czech] name correctly now, the last sylable "eh".

-I've gotten this rep at my company as the "car guy", the dude with the 928 International catalog in his bag~

["He has a special foreign car-parts catalog in his bag; he can find you anything anytime! I think he's ASE certified on them German cars or something!"]

They aren't as stupid as I make them out to be; But these days I'm starting to get questions about various German cars doing this or that. I usually refer them to the manuals, or tell them how to find a good shop in their area.

I refer to my 928 as the "Porsche", and nothing else. Lucy, a woman I know in south Florida has named my car "Griselda". Being a bit "new-age" though thankfully not flaky about it...she's "investigated" the character of my car and pronounced it not only "Griselda" but female as well.

::choke choke:: ahem... "Female?"

UHmm...My first boat was a female [19 foot sailboat named "Ludmilla"] ...but this growling thing? Good lord ! Well, maybe a truck-driving lesbian "large Marge" type or something...but I don't agree at all! That thing in my garage is male. Sorry Lucy!

Funny thing: the utterly un-remarkable airport car that I also own, a 1997 Ford Aerostar minivan... is far more remarkable to my Belgian. Last Summer I took her to Key West again...only this time, instead of viewing Florida Bay, the Florida Straights, and the Overseas highway from 928 level, which means about 28 inches above the road...she saw them from pickup truck level. She loves my involvement with a particular species of mechanical object- the 928 [She says that it shows my inherent boyishness] but she's not into cars and the views from the open windows of the van aswe passed over two-lane bridges 30 feet above the waters drove her wild. She took a million pictures and put them on the wall in her house. She's truly a scientist of paradise. If only I can make her into a "refugee from meteorology", as others have posited on here~

My girlfriend loves the Aerostar. She calls it "Conky", because I mounted a Key West Republic licence plate on the front. And it is quieter than most 737's....which my 928/Ott/Borla combo probably isn't!

N!

"The Bwaaahhhhster"

The "The" is mandatory.

I don't know why. It just happened. Some influence from the lesser Boxster, I guess.

I just refer to her as the "79". As far as "Clot" goes, "Thrombus 1" has a ring to it.

Aww...c'mon Scott! It's all in good fun. Ya gotta admit, a black patent leather interior with stainless zipper accents would be a pretty bad ***. Or maybe not.

Maybe you should name your car "Grace Jones"? You could put some purplish paint around the headlights and call it eyeliner.

Now THERE is an 80's flashback! (flash-in-the-pan)

Can't say I thought about her(?) since about 84.
Can't say I've missed her.

Now Annie Lenox!! She's been in MY "Sweet Dreams" everynight since 82.

Default Names?

I supposed if you were to twist my arm and make me find a name?

We call it "The Porsh-ahh". My PCA buddies call it "Spanky". I guess causes it spanks thier cars, except the GT3. One guy referred to it an "Bubble Butt" Of course he was a 944 guy and jealous because he has only half an engine. Ha ha ha.

Anthony -

Hey! Thrombus 1! I like it! However, upon further review I think I'll go with Embolus 1 since it's usually on the move!
