I diagnosed my radio problem today and found that it is a bad booster amp. (It was still the oringal Blaupunkt one.) In reading some old posts here about replacement amps, I saw that some new head units don't require amps. Mine still has the original Blaupunkt radio. Do I need a replacement amp or could I just connect the input and output wires? It sounded okay to me when I connected them (I did that to ensure that the prblem was the booster amp), but I was wondering if eliminating the amp would be a problem long term?
