I use the "plant and pivot" method to get in, and the "pivot and push" method to get out......

Ditto this. I'm 6'1" and do the same as Ron. It's much easier to get out this way too. Just spin in your seat, plant your feet and stand staight-up. You can use the lower body/door frame to push up with your hands if you so desire.

If you use the Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Spray , it will make the spinning effortless, and adds a nice shine to the leather. It smells MUCH better than other products such as hArmor all .

Well, thanks for the suggestions! I tried most of them, just ignoring ones that involved the sunroof, windows or hatch. Bottom-line (no pun intended), if you're over 6', and past the half-century in years, it's a struggle.

What we need is a trapese bar on the driver's entry. Then you can grab the bar, pick up your legs, swing in and drop. Good exercise for those of us who are not in the "younger and/or smaller" category too.

I always get a running start from the passenger side and slide across the hood, before getting in. While screaming at the top of my lungs.
