Someone tried to break into my car and broke the handle mechanism again. Notice my last post on this issue was in 2002, so I now get to skin my knuckles again What fun. And the jerk did it on the driver's side so I have to slide into the car from the passenger side until I get it fixed. PIA if you ask me.

 

Or just reach in and hit the driver window down button, then walk around and open the door from the inside.

 

Now why didn't I think of that?? I guess because my car has a hidden battery disconnect switch from the days when some ham fisted mechanic made a mistake running wiring through the firewall and it caused a fire while I was at the Porsche Parade in Florida and had to limp home with a cluster **** of wiring under the dash. I simply installed a hidden switch to bypass the gremlin that shop (whose name shall not be mentioned) was unable to repair. **&^%$#^%&*$!!@!! Grrrr!!! if you want something done right, do it yourself!

The windows are not operative until I enter the car and render them functional.
The upside is that my gremlin, which has become permanent, gave birth to theft control as an unintended benefit.
