Default stolen wheels tires

The very brown spent the night in the parking lot and someone apparently decided they needed to take 5 out of the 6 ugly 7x15 phone dials with used Victor Racer 225x50x15 tires which I had inside , although they look worn out 2 were nearly new the others had some rubber ........ worst part is I figure they will be selling the wheels for scrap aluminum at about $7 each . They pried up the rear hatch to get in which is better than breaking things. O K so Monday I spend $500 or so on tires to do a track event next weekend . I am not a happy camper. This is not a "bad neighborhood" but there are metal scavengers who "work" the dumpsters. Does make me wonder why they left the 6 th one behind. I think they took some tools ,wrenches, tire gauge and some BRAKE PADS .....wait a minute why brake pads ?? They only fit 928s ........... Now I am really not happy .......

Can't believe someone actually forced they're way in to get phone dials....I'm speechless...

Any damage to the hatch or lock?

Jim - I feel your pain...

Some may recall - my boat was in a dry storage that collapsed (with 300 boats inside) during Hurricane Ivan. They finally got my boat out this week...My son and I went down to the marina to get our stuff off of the boat. &#@%$ #*$^*&^ #(^$(*^$ LOOTERS had taken EVERYTHING of value...Almost $4k worth of stuff...PLUS We lost our (somewhat insured) boat!

Since this is America, you have to give them a fair trial and then shoot them.

Some ricer-boy figured out that they will look real sharp on an older Toyota pickup (yes, they do fit...)

Sorry for your loss, Jim. Rest of the world-- Keep an eye out for these on off-brand cars.

$50 says it's the owner of some 911 that has 6 figures in their car that you passed with the "For Sale $3,000" sign in the window.

If you need parts, I know of a great 928 recycler in Calfornia that should have pads and wheels for your car. Now if I could only find their number......

In the great scheme of things this is just a minor bump in the road . The rear hatch receiver liner is worn so the hatch will pop without requiring too much effort so no real damage . I am tempted to camp out here at the office to see if they come back for the other phone dial or the 7.5x17 9x17 polished cups which are on the car ............ I pulled it behind the gate so it is more secure . Tirerack does not have the good Victor Racers just the ecsta 700 which have some issues. At least I got some Promo Kumho bucks for winning the class a few times that helps cover the tires. What bugs me is those wheels and tire really only had much value to me . I found the brake pads tossed around in the car so am back to the scavenger theory. I am going home now, thanks for the nice comments.

Jim..........I'll have a set of S4 stock wheels with almost new Michelin Pilot Sports available as soon as I receive my new 'turbo twists'. You probably have all sorts of options but let me know if required.

Sorry to hear of the breakin.......have the law guys send them up here and we'll stick them outside for the next 4 months...........if the cold doesn't get them the bears will!!!

I'm sorry to hear that! And I'm surprised at the same time!

But I have heard that these wheels are popular on certain VW models. Not sure how they make them work, but maybe there is a hug conversion kit out there. Maybe they even started mounting Porsche 928 brakes on VWs? I have no clue...

They make a bolt on adaptor to put Porsche wheels on VW's. The flat "man hole cover" wheels are a popular upgrade for Golf's.
