Thats the answer right there....cats work best when fully warm. That plus the time sitting probably was the answer. A good idea is to run the car for a while to get the engine fully warm & put a fresh tank of super unleaded in before a smog test....but 928's do run so clean it really doesn't matter.

I found my numbers: HC was 7 at idle (limit 120), 10 @2500 rpm(140 limit) ...CO% was 0.00 at idle & .03 @2500 (both limits 1.00)...not bad..I was quite happy! The tech was amazed at the numbers as well, probably since I got the "we don't work on those disclaimer before he ran the test!"
