Speaking of tires - has anyone tried the Michy Pilot Sport All-Season tires? I'm going to be needing a set of A/S tires for the 16" winter rims soon. I've run the Pirelli A/S tires before. They are great when new but they get really noisy as they wear past 50%. Any A/S recommendations?

In the summer, I've run both S02s and S03s. Great tires. (Not for winter though...)

I put Falken 451s on my car in late July. Great in dry and wet conditions, but, I've heard treacherous in snow (my 928 doesn't see snow). Excellent tire for very reasonable price. In Canada, Tiretrends (online) is setting the price trend so you should be able to negotiate a local purchase armed with that info. I bought mine at the Kal Tire down the street. Not sure if they have an outlet in TO area.

I can't speak for what I haven't driven on. Other than what is on my 928, my friend has Kuhmos on his 330ci. We did a round trip from Calgary, Alberta to Road America in Wisconsin in July in that car and those tires are awsome. Great in wet or dry, don't know about snow.

I have Michelin's on my GTS and they are great! However, when they are worn down I will switch to Continental Sport Contact they have served me well on my 944 S2 and they win comparison tests in Germany on a regular basis.

...in the Kumhos. We have them on our Boxster and they're fantastic. The Ecsta MX (unidirectional, AA traction, A temp, 220 wear, Z rated) in front and the new Ecsta ASX (AA traction, A temp, 420 wear, W rated) in back. We rotate the rear side-to-side when balancing to reduce cupping and feathering. The road noise is lessend too with the ASX, they handle beautifully and twice the wear in the rear is wonderful. They were $105 and $125 here, in Georgia. Pirelli recommends unidirectional front and regular back with the different sizes front and back. Can't wait to put them on the Shark when the POs Dunlops wear out.

My car came with Michelin Pilot Sports standard size for the year and model. Excellent tyres except once I wore off the POs rears I replaced with new which only lasted approx 20k kms !!! Pressures were monitored and set to the factory levels 36 front, 44 rear. I do drive the car as it was designed but still???

I'm now on another new set of the same tyres on the rear but have reduced pressue to 36 all around as I believe the last model GTS were set. Handling is better and the front/rear temperatures appear similar after a good hard run. Realise this topic is a popular one on past posts but was curious as to other experiences with the same tyre brand, sizing and pressures.
