Does anybody have any dimensional data for the '87 Catalytic Converter? I'm going to try to make up my own X-pipe. Shouldn't be too hard, right? I'll need info on the flanges, pipe diameter, length, centerline distances front and rear. Then I'll see what bent pipes I can buy at Parts America and cut into them and weld them. I just haven't had the chance to drop my Cat and measure it. I'll draw it up on A-CAD or Solidworks and keep y'all informed of my progress. Unless this will infringe on any Patents? Will it
? Anybody want the designs once I'm done? That part may cost you for my Engineering time.

Curt simply reverse engineer .... take your cat off make a jig fixture which bolts up to the triangular flanges and locates the two out pipes . Remove your cat from the fixture and then connect the dots.........There is little point in drawing anything unless you intend to have it bent on an N C bender. The" X " is actually more like this )( with the two pipes cut and welded where they come together.

Will a 2-1/4" header flange bolt up to the factory manifolds? (Looks to me like they would.)
I'm considering making my next exhaust from the manifolds back and I'd like to buy the flanges off the shelf if possible.
