Cold Start Pic
Anyone know where I might find a picture of a "cold start valve?" I have the manuals on CD but am not sure it shows what I would be removing or replacing. Looking on the 928 Int'l site hasn't given me anything. REGARDLESS, I think I may need to replace one, the manual doesn't seem to indicate it is too complicated to do so and I want to give it a shot ... assuming the '85 has such a valve! Thanks to all in advance.

Nope........no such part on your year . Instead the fuel injection knowing the engine is cold injects extra fuel and the idle stabilizer valve controlled by the brain maintains engine speed.

Thanks, Jim! Does this mean that if my car runs a little rough and needs some coaxing for the first 60 seconds or so when its cold that I may need to check out the idle stabilizer valve? Thanks again!

More likely a temp sensor problem - unit or wiring. They usually run resistance of ~3000 Ohms cold, going down to ~250-300 ohms hot.
