Jim: not all Porsche (or 928 wheels for that matter) are cast, the magnesium 928 Clubsport wheels are forged.

gruffalo: Both the "flat dish" slotted wheels and the Clulb Sport are forged aluminum. There never werer magnesium wheels on any production model 928, including the Club Sport.

I've got my heart set on some cup wheels for my old bugger, but this offer may cause me to reconsider.

I think the turbo twists are one of the hottest wheels for the 928. If I didn't find the AT Rivas, the twists were THE only other option for me. What a deal!

These are FRH wheels replicas which we have sold for many years. The front tire width should be a 225 for use on the 7.5 especially for early cars which do not have rolled fender lips like the club sport and GT or all 1990> . Some have used a 235 or 245 BUT TIRES VARY and it is close. The rear easily takes a 275 width no spacers used at all. The special price by the distributor is only for the twisted techno "turbo" wheels .Shipping costs depend on how far from the west coast you choose to live . Range from about $50 to maybe $100 for ground UPS. November 1 they go back to the normal price.

I bought these on the last fire sale, I put a 235 Yokohama on the front and fits fine on my 87, I kept the 255 on the rear.

Nice wheels and a steal at this price.

Dang - I just bought some rubber for my 16's....so I'll have to wait...but I do want them. May have to consider the lay-away plan.

Just keep the old dish wheels and put some bad assed wider 245/40's and 275/ 35's on the new wheels. I have a stack of brand new 225/50/16's comp t/a's in the garage. May be a good selling point in the future to have two sets. My opinion...

I agree. Especially up here in Yankee land. I have all-season tires on my 16"s and MaxPerf summer tires on the 17"s. The A/S tires allow me to go out on cold days. Drive on cold New England-winter pavement on wide summer 17"s and you will quickly understand the terms 'pucker' and 'no grip.'

A couple of years ago I met a new 928 owner who proudly showed me the work his body shop had done fixing up is rear quarter. The damage was the result of 'losing the back end' on an on-ramp. In winter. On summer tires.

Are there any backspacing issues with those wheels ?
I know the fronts are difficult to match on a 928.

Will those wheels fit the front of my S4 like the originals or will I have to use some spacers?

Thanks

Paul

These wheels do not need spacers for any 928. In fact the 85-86 with rear spacers you remove them since the 9 inch rim fills the wheel well very nicely.
